CAN YOU RESTRING MY RACQUET WITH 2 DIFFERENT TYPES OF STRING?
Yes we string all racquets in two pieces. The mains running from the head of the racquet to the throat and the crosses running side to side. By doing this, you can choose 2 strings if you prefer. The price will vary depending on the strings you choose.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RESTRING MY TENNIS RACQUET?
One racquet takes on average an hour to restring. Issues can arise during the restringing process that may push this timeframe out such as deteriorating grommets (plastic inserts around the perimeter of the racquets head) or cracks in the frame.
WHAT STRINGS SHOULD I CHOOSE?
Strings are the life and soul of the racquet however many people put priority on the racquet frame rather than the strings actually hitting the ball! We stock polyester and multifilament strings:
Polyester - our personal favourite strings bringing great power and spin to the ball. Unlikely to break however, would recommend changing the strings after a couple of months of play.
Multifilaments - designed for playabilty and control on the ball. Hold tension longer than a polyester string and are arm friendly however are a bit harder to generate spin off.
WHAT TENSION WILL WORK BEST FOR ME?
It's important to think about what tension you want your racquet strung at and how that suits your game. The more tension, the more control you will have on the ball (substituting power). The less tension the more power and drive through the court (substituting control). Just because you've always had your racquet strung at a certain tension doesn't mean it's the right tension. Be experimental and find what works for you!
CAN YOU CUSTOMISE MY RACQUET?
Yes, our head stringer has been stringing, customising and repairing racquets for 11 years now and is able to to repair frames, replace bumpers and modify grips. The frame repair price is $60 however if you need further modifications or replacement bumpers, contact us via email with your requirements and we will get back to you with a price and timeframe.
CAN I BRING MY OWN STRING?
Yes, we have a wide range with the most popular strings and brands however, if you have a specific string that we don't stock and would like us to use this, that is fine. We charge a standard $33 per racquet for BYO string.
