As soon as Lauren could walk, she had a tennis racquet in her hand. Her father, Trevor Buchanan literally built his life around the game of tennis (he was and still is a tennis court builder) so it was a natural progression into the sport for her early on. In high school, she was part of the tennis excellence squad training 5 days a week 2-3 hours a day, playing club fixtures and school tennis on the weekend. In year 12 she was named tennis captain and upon graduating, continued playing competitively whilst attending university.

Through constant experimentation with different types of racquets and strings throughout her tennis journey, she has learnt how different strings play and feel. She has also become a great tennis racquet stringer through her passion for the game and the technology that improves and enhances it.
